Emily started dancing at the young age of 3 in her home town in Birmingham, England where she went on to train in genres such as Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Lyrical and Musical Theatre. It wasn’t long before Emily became part of the schools competition team and went on to compete across the country reaching the All England Championship Finals on numerous occasions as a soloist. During her training she completed various vocational exams under the British Theatre Dance Association, receiving Distinctions and Platinum results. At the age of 18 Emily auditioned and successfully secured a place at Leicester College of Performing Arts to undergo full time training where Emily was introduced to additional styles of Commercial Jazz and Contemporary, whilst gaining more experience in Modern Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theatre and Tap with top London choreographers. After securing more vocational examinations and a Double Distinction Diploma in Performing Arts, it wasn’t long before Emily realised her passion in teaching and working with children.

Emily got accepted into Birmingham City University where she spent her days completing a Foundation Degree in the Early Years and went onto gaining a Bachelors Degree with Honours in Child Development, accredited by the University of Birmingham. During this time Emily spent her evenings back at her local dance school, Novelli Stage School where she was mentored whilst completing her Level 4 Certificate in Dance Teaching under the British Theatre Dance Association with a 98% final mark. Emily then went on to teach numerous genres for the school and became a strong influence to the competition team offering private performance training in the run up to competition season and choreographed routines for the schools performances.

In January 2018 Emily made the move to the Sunshine Coast to live the outdoor lifestyle she always dreamed off. It wasn’t long before Emily realised how much she needed to continue her teaching passion full time and is now teaching different genres across the coast. Emily has an eye for technique and performance skills and hopes to continue to pass her love of dance of performing onto young performers in the years to come.
