New students are welcome to ‘try’ any of the classes we have available for their age group for one week before deciding which classes they wish to enrol in for the Term.

The ‘Free Trial Registration’ must be filled out before you can try a class.

Once you have decided on the classes you wish to enrol in, the official enrolment form at the studio must be filled out and signed by the parent / guardian and $20 enrolment fee must be paid.  This will automatically secure your place in class and covers administration.

It is our recommendation that students learn the basics of Jazz, Tap & Ballet before enrolling in other genres such as Acrobatics, Contemporary / Lyrical, Commercial / Cabaret and Hip Hop.  It is important for them to learn how to listen to the beat and dance properly with the correct technique before trying a more complex style of dance.  We have noticed throughout the years that students who excel in Acrobatics, Contemporary / Lyrical, Commercial / Cabaret and Hip Hop … take Jazz, Tap & Ballet Classes as well.

We will be starting classes in week 2 of Term 1.

No classes are held on Pupil Free days or Public holidays. Warana & Aura Studio = Caloundra Shire

• Timetable is subject to change slightly throughout the year.
• Classes will be grouped according to the year the student was born. Unless the teacher has spoken to you personally, this is the teacher’s decision and should be respected.

• Please note there is no individual class fee payable. Fees are payable in advance per term only, as a one off payment.  That means you are paying for the term, not per class.  For example if you miss a class because you are absent or; your class falls on a pupil free day or public holiday, that doesn’t change the overall payment.  Therefore classes that are missed cannot be deducted.  Make up classes may be available due to ill health or extenuating family circumstances.
• Term fees are non-refundable.
• Invoices will be distributed during the first week of term (or earlier) and must be paid by the third week of term. All late payments will immediately receive a late fee of $20.
• You may pay off your fees throughout the term, however in doing so you will need to pay the extra $20 late fee for the convenience.  Regular payments must be made and the whole amount must be paid before the last day of term.
• Fees are to be paid via Direct Deposit.

• Uniform has been designed to suit every student J
• Uniforms must be paid for when ordering. Eftpos and Cash are acceptable.
• Encore uniform is compulsory in all classes.
• Encore uniform is available through the Encore Store located at the Warana Studio only.
• Shop hours Monday to Thursday 3pm to 6pm.
• Uniform can be mixed and matched; except for ballet classes require a ballet leotard and skirt.
• Uniform is ordered at the end of week three of each term. It can take up to 8 weeks to arrive.
• Correct dance shoes must be worn in each class (no shoes = no dancing).
• Hair must be worn in a bun off face.

• No spectators in classes. There is a viewing day in the last week of each term for family and friends to come and watch.
• Encore prides itself on a happy and friendly environment therefore any bad sportsmanship or disrespect to teachers / staff / other students or parents will not be tolerated.

• All students have the opportunity to perform in our end of year show. Each class will require to buy a costume and tickets are purchased by family and friends to watch the show.
• Encore does not charge for extra rehearsals such as Stage and Tech Rehearsal in the concert week.
